Make up is a huge part of my life. As a matter of fact I was born on a house where people entered bare face and came out glamours. My mom has been a makeup artist since she was 20 years old. She is such an passion driven, informed and on details professional. She has always been aware of the latest trends and still do lots of courses to keep her learning skills active and running. Obviously I absorbed all of this art, since becoming a professional makeup artist myself a couple of years ago and at the same time working on an Argentinian makeup brand here in Buenos Aires. I love a lot of brands and admire all of their founders & CEO’s.
My skin is very fair and sensitive, I’m a your skin but better kind of person. To start I always apply a good serum or lightweight moisturizer such as Prep + Prime Moisture Infusion by MAC Cosmetics, that stuff is the best. After that depending on my sleep and hydration I may apply some eye cream, a really good one also by MAC is the Fast Response Eye Cream.
In the middle of moisturizer and foundation there’s is the best and most important step, primer. I’ve tried loads, with different finishes and textures. Some of my more brightening high end ones are Becca First Light Priming Filter & MAC Strobe Cream or from the drugstore my favorite is L’oréal Lumi Glotion. For “foundation” I always apply BB or CC creams, they let you see your skin and also looks super natural. My favorites are It Cosmetics CC+ Cream & Bareminerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer.
After I always apply an under eye brightening product, I think is key to fix dark circles with color correcting thin products, some really cool ones are MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter & Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiance Perfecting Pen and after it I usually go with a very light layer of concealer like AP Professional Magic Concealer or for more coverage the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer is perfect!
“I am constantly keeping myself informed and I’m always on the lookout for the newest trends. However, I am also very careful not to follow the trends too much because I believe using the highest quality ingredients never goes out of fashion.” Terry de Gunzburg founder of By Terry
Now that the base is complete let’s talk about the remaining steps. To set the face I love the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder for under the eyes since is so nicely melted and the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder for the rest of the makeup. For contour and bronzer i fancy the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer & Marc Jacobs Beauty O!Mega Bronzer Perfect Tan, a more affordable option can be Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer which is gorgeous!
For blush (which is my favorite part of all!) we have a good high end option like MAC Mineralize Blush or a good drugstore one is the Milani Baked Blush. Then for highlighter I absolutely adore the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Highlighter, Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter & MAC Mineralize Skinfinish which I have in various colors like Lightscapade, Soft & Gentle, Cheeky Brozed and the recently released color Nuanced.
We are landing on the last steps of my everyday makeup. For eyeshadow I tend to use cream or stick ones, I love the NARS Velvet Shadow Stick, Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop Stick Eyeshadow & Glossier Cream Lidstars. After that we continue with brows. I only use brow gels, they give me a more natural fluffy brow look. I like the Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel and the MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Brow Set.
In the mascara department, I’ve literally tried over a hundred mascaras. Loads of them I love others got lost in the way because brands launch at least one new mascara a year, which believe me are a lot if you start to count. Some of my high end favorites are Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, Buxom Lash Mascara & Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara. A more indie brand pick would be the Glossier Lash Stick, which is really good for an everyday fresh look. However my drugstore mascara crush of which I just can’t get enough is the L’oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara I have it in brown, black and blackest black. Believe me the obsession is real.
For the lips (which obviously is another’s girl obsession, so I have lots of lip products) my latest favorites are the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer, MAC Viva Glam Lipstick in II and for a nice creamy red the best is MAC Viva Glam Lipstick in I.
